The Surfing Beach Diving Centre which is located on Santa Maria Beach is fully equipped and organized meeting the needs of experienced divers and also providing an unforgettable experience to visitors who want to try diving for the first time.
The Diving Centre is certified from the international organizations of CMAS, NAUI and PADI providing safety to all divers.
Dives are offered to groups of 5-10 people daily from 9:00 am until 18:00 pm in different designated areas which vary according to the level of each group. The transporting is by craft and all groups are accompanied by an experienced instructor.
The depth of the dives depends on the experience of the divers. Beginners start at 3-6 meters while diploma holders may reach the depth of 40 meters. Night dives are also offered. Those who were mesmerized by the beauty of the sea can obtain their first diving diploma by doing a special course at our school.
The temperature of the waters of Santa Maria vary according to the depth of the water, the month, and weather conditions. Temperatures range from 16°C to 25°C while visibility is at 25 meters.
After a 45 minute dive you can enjoy a cocktail at the beach bar or dine at the tavern. For those who further seek adventure can try one of our water sports at the Surf Club.
